The Diablo 4 beta will let players take the first new Diablo game in over a decade for a test run ahead of its June release date. If you're thinking of jumping in we've rounded up everything you need to know about the Diablo 4 Open Beta.

Diablo 4 beta release date

The Diablo 4 early access open beta has now concluded. The gameplay period ended at 12pm PDT / 3pm EDT / 7pm GMT / 8PM CET on March 27. This early access period was available to players who had pre-ordered the game before its June 6 release date.

Players were able to play as all five classes: Barbarian, Sorcerer, and Rogue were available during the closed beta, while the other two classes (Druid and Necromancer) were available for the first time during the open beta.

We now have official confirmation from Joseph Piepiora, Diablo 4’s associate game director, who has stated there will be no endgame beta until the game launches: “We’ve done an endgame beta in the past where we got to check out a version of the features we’re talking about today [ones in the video] and we got a lot of really good feedback from that closed beta test before. Looking forward we don’t have plans for an endgame beta before the game launches, but we are continuing to do internal testing on these features as we get closer and closer to our launch date on June 6.”

How to Access Diablo 4's Open Beta

For the second beta weekend running March 24-27, players across all platforms have free and open access.

The only caveat is you need to sign in with your Battle.net account — as per the first beta weekend — so you’ll need one of those. If you don’t have one already, the Diablo 4 beta itself opens with a QR code that’ll direct you to set one up.

How did access to the first beta weekend work? If you pre-ordered the game digitally, access to the open beta was granted automatically on whatever platform you bought the game for. If you pre-ordered the game elsewhere, you received an early access code.

Alternatively, Diablo fans who were hesitant to pre-order the full game could get a beta code through KFC. Yes, the chicken people. Through March 18, customers in the U.S. who order the fast-food chain’s Double Down sandwich (or any “eligible sandwich”) through KFC’s website or the KFC app received a code for early beta access to Diablo 4.

Diablo 4 beta rewards
